Accessibility at Lilypath.
Lilypath's product is legibility — making sure machines read people accurately. We hold this website to the same standard for people: everyone should be able to read, navigate, and use lilypath.com, whatever tools they browse with.
Our standard and where we are
We aim for WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This site is currently partially conformant — most of the standard is met, and the gaps we know about are listed below.
In August 2026 we ran an automated accessibility audit (axe, via Lighthouse) across every page template on this site, fixed every finding it raised — color contrast, touch-target sizes, heading structure, and pause controls for animations — and re-audited until every page passed with no failures. Keyboard operability and motion behavior were reviewed by hand. An evaluation with screen readers is underway; we will update this page when it is complete.
A second review later that month covered what scanners cannot: full keyboard traversal, computed contrast on every text and focus color, and layout at 320 pixels and 200% text size. Automated checks still reported nothing, and it found six real defects — the header menus could not be dismissed with Escape, their focus indicator was too faint to see, an opened menu's links fell several stops later in the tab order than the menu itself, the rotating testimonials had no control that said it would stop them, the profile-URL field did not declare its purpose to password managers, and three menu labels were marked up as headings ahead of each page's main heading. All six are fixed, along with a menu panel that had been rendering behind the mobile navigation.
What's built in
- A skip-to-content link, and consistent landmarks and heading structure on every page.
- Full keyboard operability — menus, carousels, tab panels, accordions, the image lightbox, and the Snapshot dialog all work without a mouse, with a visible focus indicator. The header menus and the Snapshot dialog both close with Escape and hand focus back to the control you opened them from.
- Everything that moves on this site can be stopped — the guided Blueprint tours, the films and animated demonstrations, the scrolling customer list, the rotating testimonials, and the smaller looping visuals all carry a Pause control, and the testimonials also stop rotating when you use their arrows or dots. If your system asks for reduced motion, none of it auto-plays; static views are shown instead, and the Pause controls are withdrawn rather than left there claiming to stop something that is already still.
- Text colors meet AA contrast ratios, and interactive targets meet the minimum touch size.
- Videos with speech carry captions; silent films are described for screen readers.
- Forms use visible labels, and errors are announced in text, not color alone.
Known limitations
- The guided Blueprint tours are visual demonstrations. They animate a real delivered report, so their content is inherently visual; each sits beside plain-text descriptions of what a Blueprint contains. They can be paused at any time and stay paused under reduced motion.
- Screen-reader testing is not yet complete. Automated checks and keyboard review are done; a full evaluation with VoiceOver and NVDA is in progress, and this page will record its results.
- Some third-party components are outside our control — the Cloudflare Turnstile anti-bot check on our contact form relies on Cloudflare's own accessibility support.
- Lily, the AI assistant panel, is a third-party component provided by Navu, which states that it is designed to WCAG. Our own check in September 2026 found that the panel opens to its message field and its Close control hands focus back to the page, but that Escape does not close it, several icon-only controls announce their icon's name rather than their purpose, and on small screens it covers the page without telling assistive technology that it has. These are Navu's to fix, and we will record here as they change. Everything the assistant can tell you is also on this site's pages.
Tell us what isn't working
If any part of this site is hard to use with your setup, we want to know. Email hello@lilypath.com with the page and the assistive technology you're using, and we'll reply within 2 business days. If a barrier is stopping you from getting something on this site, we'll provide it another way.
This statement was prepared on August 18, 2026 and revised on August 21 and September 7, 2026, following the audits and the manual keyboard, contrast, and reflow reviews described above. It will be updated when the assistive-technology evaluation is complete.
